Seventy-two-year-old Wally Hesseltine started running at age 37. And for 35 years he's run in at least one race per month. With so many races under his belt, he recently set his eyes on one of ultrarunning's greatest: . In 2016, after six years of trying to get into the race, he finally got a bid and had the chance to complete his goal of becoming the oldest finisher in the history of this event. We're going to let you think about that for a minute: 72 years old, running 100 miles in under 30 hours. Thirty Hours is a short film from Alex Massey that documents Hesseltine's incredible story, and is well worth the watch––his finish is unforgettable. Find more from Filmmaker Alex Massey .
