When and Janine Patitucci’s VW van broke down at a parking lot in Indian Creek, Utah, in the late 1990s, they figured they might as well make good use of their time while they waited for a tow. So they went for a run, bringing along a camera to shoot a few images on the trail. Later, a picture from their morning run was featured in Patagonia’s catalog, , launching their trail running photography career.
Today, the couple is based in Interlaken, Switzerland, and run trails across the Alps, as well as around the world in places like the Sierras and Himalayas. A new release from , Into the Route, captures the Patitucci’s passion for running and photography and how it inspired them to create , an online resource for all things related to adventuring in the Alps.
