With phones in our pockets聽it鈥檚 easy to take a lot of photos. But what happens to those images? They sit in our library or聽end up on Instagram. That鈥檚 great, but remember the days when we used to聽actually聽print out聽pictures and stick them on the fridge?
The ,聽announced by Polaroid in September, lets us聽do just that. It鈥檚 a digital camera that takes 10-megapixel聽photos and stores them on a micro SD, but it also has a built-in聽Zero Ink printer, which embeds heat-activated聽color pigments into聽the photo paper, rather than using ink or ribbons.聽Each print takes about a minute, and聽the camera can continue shooting during the process.聽
True to its name, the Snap is no DSLR. It鈥檚 short on advanced camera functions, but does let you enhance聽images聽prior to printing.
The camera will be available later this year. A of compatible paper sells for $30聽on Amazon.聽
