Music makes exercise a lot better. But dealing with headphones can suck.聽Tangled cords or headphones that won鈥檛 stay in are a major distraction. Thankfully, has finally solved all our major complaints.
These are fully wireless headphones鈥攖here鈥檚 no cord between each speaker and no cord between the speaker and your phone鈥攕o there鈥檚 nothing to catch your arm on while running or doing kettle bell swings. And thanks to multiple sizes of malleable tips,聽they'll聽stay in even on a mountain bike ride.
To use, just聽pair them once via Bluetooth to your Android聽or聽iOS device and they'll automatically recognize your phone in the future. When you鈥檙e done with the buds, pack them聽in their pen-like case聽and they鈥檒l charge wirelessly via USB. Three hours of charge time will give you 75 minutes of use.
In terms of sound, they鈥檙e clean, clear, and exceptionally precise. Listening to a mix that included Springsteen鈥檚 Atlantic City, Bowie鈥檚 Heroes, and Vance Joy鈥檚 Riptide, I consistently picked up more detail in music I know very well. The bass is a little thin聽and max volume never gets to hard-rocking levels, but given the decent ambient isolation (thanks to the close fit) there鈥檚 little need for them to reach聽11.
There are other headphones on the market that are built to stay in, such as聽the collab, but I鈥檝e found Earin鈥檚 design easier to wedge in better聽and overall offer more comfort.聽Like shoes or bike saddles, however, every tester鈥檚 experience is unique, so I鈥檇 recommend first before purchase.聽
Also, if an Earin happens to fall out on a run at dusk,聽it could be hard to find. To mitigate that problem, Earin supplies rubber attachments聽that help them further grasp聽the cartilage of your ear.
And of course, there鈥檚 the $250聽price tag. That鈥檚 steep, but if you鈥檙e an exercise junky, or just really appreciate music, the Earin鈥檚 convenience will pay off over time.聽
