We鈥檝e seen a lot of thoughtful garage-turned-living-space renovations, but this one by Seattle-based design firm 聽stands out from the bunch.
That鈥檚 probably because the company聽started by choosing the right structure. This garage isn鈥檛 attached to a home, but instead sits by itself as an out-building overlooking聽Puget Sound on Vashon Island off the coast of Tacoma, Washington.聽In a slick聽design move, the firm repurposed old building materials into flooring and backdrops, which preserves the historical feel. They also added聽tasteful amenities, including聽a wood-burning聽stove and built-in bar.
The space might be sparse, but who needs art, or聽couches,聽when you have a聽view this good?
