Northern Patagonia is home to some of the world's聽best trout fishing, red meat, and red wine. And knives, too, apparently.聽
Diego Attwell started crafting blades in the city of Junin de los Andes, Argentina,聽35 years ago. Back then, he used聽belt grinders to carve聽the聽metal, but in聽2001 he moved his production to the forge and started hammering.
That's how he聽crafted this 7.5-inch聽beauty, with a blade made聽from Swedish 12c27 stainless steel, which is聽known for its sharpness and resistance to corrosion. The handle is made from a recycled Quebracho wood fence post. The聽knife also comes with a hand-stitched cow聽leather sheath. 聽
Attwell only builds 25 to 30 knives a year, so don鈥檛 sit around if there鈥檚 a blade that catches your eye.
