CHEAP THRILLS
Hardcore ‘shoer? Hard up for funds? The fiercely clawed, all-terrain TSLs were the favorite among our more committed testers with value in mind. The bindings aren’t as intuitive as others, but the combination of macro- and micro-adjusting buckles helps them fit a wide range of boots and shoes securely. Plus the binding only pivots to 45 degrees, enough swing to prevent testers from constantly kicking snow up their backs but not so much that they couldn’t back up or step over obstacles. One flaw: The toe webbing can be finicky and requires on-the-fly futzing. 1.9 lbs, 25” or 30”;
