Burton has been building snowboards in Vermont for more than 30 years. Along the way, it learned a thing or two about what makes a board well balanced. The latest member of the Family Tree Collection, the has a tapered shape that makes it extremely quick edge to edge, and the rocker-camber profile鈥攔ocker from the tip to just outside your front foot, then camber down toward the tail鈥攕omehow works just as well in powder as it does on groomers. The key is that the nose lifts when the camber is compressed, making the board plane easily over powder and uneven surfaces, while a stiffer tail gives the board pop and power in the back end (ideal for the steeps). As one tester put it, 鈥淭his board is so good, I would happily write it a check every month.鈥
