What do Mark Zuckerberg and President Obama have in common? They鈥檝e both spoken out about . Or put another way: Both wear almost the exactly the same thing every day, because it eliminates one simple choice they have to make. Instead of worrying about their outfits, they can focus their attention on, you know, the future of our democracy and/or Russian bots.
No matter your political leanings, you have to admit that Zuck and Barry鈥檚 clothing strategy is pretty smart. I鈥檝e tried to adopt it as much as possible, and the brain power saved is noticeable. Keep things simple and you get more important shit done.
One way I鈥檝e simplified is by wearing the ($78) at least a couple times per week. This plain-colored, nicely tailored tee goes well with almost anything, from a pair of jeans to a blazer. Thanks to lots of stretch and the supersoft merino, it鈥檚 one of the comfiest shirts in my closet. I also own the , which I wear all summer.
Just a few years ago, you had to be careful about wearing merino too often, because it would wear out. But Proof beefed up its wool by blending it with a bit of nylon, which gives the material added life and prevents shredding in the washing machine. Of course, those washings are few and far between鈥攐nce every couple weeks鈥攂ecause the wool fights stink so well.
If you really want to maximize this shirt, wear it to the gym as a workout top and as a base layer for skiing, hiking, or any other cold-weather pursuit. You鈥檒l need to wash it more frequently, of course, but even with that added wear, this tee should last you a couple years at least.
