Outlier聽founders Abe Burmeister and Tyler Clemens believe that clothing should be liberating. It should never restrict what you do with your day. They started their Brooklyn-based company in 2008 because Burmeister wanted an unrestrictive pair of pants he could ride his bike to work in that he felt comfortable wearing in the office. Clemens sought an oxford with similar functionality. “The world does not need more design; it needs less,” said Burmeister. “Outlier began with one particularly elusive value: an intense feeling of exhilaration and liberation that comes from riding in the city. We want to take that feeling and bring it everywhere we travel.”
