Ah, nothing says car camping like a good camp chair! Add in a fire and a little Maker鈥檚 Mark, and all is right with the world.
For car camping, Crazy Creek has two lines of chairs that may appeal to you. The ($41), which is part of their family camping collection, has an aluminum frame that folds down compactly and weighs only 2 pounds 10 ounces. It sits low to the ground鈥攖he seat height is five inches high鈥攚hich makes it comfortable for sitting around a fire but won’t work as well if you bring a camp table.
By comparison, Crazy Creek鈥檚 ($48) is essentially a chair with no legs. Set it on the ground, a log, or a picnic table, and you’ll have a comfortable back and dry seat.

Also take a look at ($129), which is so comfortable I’d be happy to set up at home. Features include an aluminum frame, headrest, a mesh seat that’ll help you keep cool, bungee suspension, and adjustable legs. The problem, of course, is that you鈥檒l sit down and never want to get up.
Another option is REI’s austere-but-comfy ($35). It has a sturdy, powder-coated steel frame, a mesh and polyester seat, and even a cup holder.

Finally, if you’re accustomed to a ubiquitous in your office, then you鈥檒l want a Futura Clipper ($190). The Clipper is essentially an outdoor Aeron, and comes with a sleek aluminum frame, airy mesh seating material, a headrest, and reclining legs. It folds up easily for storage, and it’s the widest chair of this bunch鈥攎eaning there’s plenty of room for your Labrador Retriever.
