Why It’s CoolThe Venus is heavenly, with its side-opening stuffsack that easily swallows and compresses the tent—no carefully choreographed roll-ups here. The fly and suspended canopy go up in one move, thanks to the one-way exterior pole sleeves and twin-hoop architecture. 禄 A large main door and rear half-door have their own humongous vestibules, for a combined 25 square feet. Go ahead, open that vestibule to watch the downpour. A giant overhanging awning keeps the wet stuff out. 禄 With two vertical walls maximizing interior space, the 30 square feet of floor space feels huuuge. The suspended mesh shelves in the vestibules are way cool—and practical.
Hmmm . . .This semi-freestander isn’t as portable after pitching as a true freestander. 禄 The low doors had me on my knees.
