Chris Kimbrough, a 44-year-old mother of six, unofficially shattered the women鈥檚 beer mile world record by 13 seconds on Sunday. What鈥檚 a beer mile? The are complicated, but each runner must drink a full-size beer, run a lap around the track, and repeat three times.
Kimbrough finished four laps and four beers in 6:28.6, breaking a 聽set by Seanna Robinson in 1997.
The first Beer Mile World Championship, sponsored by , will be held in Austin, Texas, on December 3. Kimbraugh plans on competing. 鈥淚f I could break six minutes, now that would be good,鈥 she said in a Runner鈥檚 World . 鈥淏ut I have six kids. It鈥檚 not like I鈥檓 going to be doing a lot of practicing.鈥
