Surfers came from the corners of the globe to meet a monster swell at the Fijian island of Tavarua on Monday. They were not disappointed for their efforts. The waves on hand were huge, the wind was fairly good, and the barrels were big enough to house a truck.
The video above is of the Tavarua boatmen (they shuttle surfers from the island to the lineup) towing into a decent swell in 2008. Let's just say it pales in comparison to this recent one.聽
