The Quiksilver Foundation, in recognition of Kelly Slater's tenth ASP World Surfing Championship, announced Tuesday the 10 for Ten campgain, in which $10,000 will be given to ten non-profit organizations of Slater's choosing, reports.
“Ten $10,000 donations is really special,” Slater said. “As a kid I could not have fathomed being able to give such a nice gift to charities I believe in and it was totally unexpected!”
Ryan Ashton, director of the , said, 鈥淎ll of his selections fall in line with the Quiksilver Foundation鈥檚 mission to support environmental, educational, health and humanitarian projects.鈥
