On Wednesday, obstacle course race company Spartan Race聽announced that its two-day world championships competition will take place this fall on October 3 and 4 in聽Lake Tahoe, .
Spartan Race expects about 10,000 athletes from around the world聽to take part in the World Championship Beast, Sprint, Ultra Beast, and Charity Challenge competitions.聽More than $100,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded to event winners. NBC Sports Group (which aired the Spartan鈥檚 2014 World Championships)聽will televise the championship events on December 20.
