A Snowmass Mountain lift operator was found not guilty on Friday in Aspen, Colorado after facing charges of reckless endangerment for last March. Travis Huffman, 22, was snowboaring off-duty when he went off a blind roller and accidentally struck a seven-year-old boy who was learning to ski. The boy was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for bruises and released the following day. Huffman’s defense attorney, Mark Rubinstein said that the boy’s father and uncle were partially at fault for taking him on an advanced slope.聽鈥淭here are special areas [at Snowmass] for kids, but this happened on a blue run,鈥 said Rubenstein.
