A storm that dumped as much as in some parts of California is being implicated in four inbounds deaths at ski resorts in the past week. At China Peak Mountain Resort on Sunday, a 30-year-old snowboarder named Kynan Stanners . A second man died at Sierra-at-Tahoe resort when he fell into a hole created by an under-snow stream on Sunday, and a third man was on Monday. The fourth died last week when . 鈥淕reat snow brings lots of riders and skiers, but it also creates problems and increases the need for risk management,鈥 said Bob Roberts, executive director of the California Ski Areas Association. Also on Sunday, a pair of skiers were rescued after an avalanche at Kirkwood Mountain Resort, where 109 inches of snow fell during the storm.
