American alpine ski racer聽Mikaela聽Shiffrin聽won back-to-back World Cup slalom victories in Aspen, Colorado, by聽record margins, 迟丑别听聽reported on Sunday. The 20-year-old is the first American to win at Aspen since 1984聽and the first American ever to do so twice in two days.
On Saturday,聽Shiffrin聽took first by a margin of 3.07 seconds, shattering 迟丑别听聽since 1968.聽On Sunday, she went on to claim her聽17th聽World Cup victory after beating Swedish skier聽Frida聽Hansdotter聽by 2.65 seconds. Shiffrin鈥檚 combined time came in at聽1:39.81,聽.
鈥淭here are plenty of races left this season,鈥澛燬hiffrin聽told the聽Denver Post. 鈥淸Saturday and Sunday]聽were pretty incredible, definitely for me and for the U.S. Ski Team, but I don鈥檛 expect [dominating wins]聽to happen in the next races.鈥
