While some ski resorts have been challenged by a lack of snow this winter, several New Hampshire resorts are extending their ski seasons due to large amounts of remaining snow, .
“It’s been such a great season for us that it’s hard to let it go,” said Chris Sununu, CEO of the Waterville Valley Resort. “The crowds this March have been tremendous, and we want to keep the momentum up as long as we can.”
The end of March often marks the end of the ski season, according to ABC, but there is enough snow this year at some New Hampshire resorts to stretch the season into April. Most resorts will feature reduced lift ticket prices for the remainder of the time they are open.
Loon Mountain will remain open daily through April 19; Bretton Woods will be open daily through April 12 and again April 18 to 20. Waterville Valley had planned to close this past Sunday but will now reopen for one additional weekend. Cannon Mountain and Mount Sunapee, both of which had planned to close April 12, will stay open daily through April 19.
