Wyoming runner Brent Weigner, 62, on Wednesday became the oldest person ever to finish an ultramarathon on Antarctica when he completed the 100K in 15:41:04. Weinger ran in temperatures that averaged -12 F and finished fourth overall, breaking the previous over-60 record by more than 30 minutes. The race was timed to coincide with the 100th anniversary of Roald Amundsen’s journey to the South Pole.
