Skier Lindsey Vonn and her husband Thomas have filed for divorce after four years of marriage. Vonn, 27, won a gold medal in super-G at the 2010 Olympics in Vancouver, Canada and with 42 world cup victories is the most decorated women’s alpine skier in U.S. history. Thomas Vonn, a former U.S. Ski Team racer, had acted as her manager and sometimes coach since the couple began dating in 2006. In October, Vonn became only the second American to win a World Cup title in all five skiing disciplines in October’s opening giant slalom race in Austria. She will next compete in Tuesday’s downhill in Alberta, Canada. “This is an extremely difficult time in my personal life and I hope the media and my fans can respect my need for privacy on this matter,” Vonn said in a statement on Sunday.
