American cyclist Levi Leipheimer was hit by a car while on a training ride Sunday in Spain. He did not break any bones but was treated for a swollen and painful leg. The crash prompted Leipheimer to withdraw from the Tour of Basque Country. His return date to cycling is still unknown. Also on Sunday, track cyclist Shane Perkins was while riding in Melbourne. Perkins will still compete in the track cycling world championships beginning Wednesday.
