Powerhouse cycling teams Leopard-Trek and RadioShack will , Leopard-Trek said in a statement on Monday. The new team will operate under the name RadioShack-Nissan-Trek, and will include riders from both teams, including Luxembourgish brothers Andy and Frank Schleck and American Chris Horner. While the full squad list has not been released, the team will be limited to 30 riders total, meaning that some current riders, many of whom are still under contract, will be released. Johan Bruyneel, who heads RadioShack and directed Lance Armstrong’s Tour de France-winning US Postal and Discovery teams, will likely take over management of the new team. Last week, three-time Tour de France winner said that a merger between the two squads would make it difficult for him to win major races. “The creation of this block wouldn鈥檛 be any good for me,鈥 Contador told Spain’s Teledeporte. 鈥淚t would be an incredible unit for the grand tours.鈥
