After closing unexpectedly last spring, Mammoth Mountain’s June Mountain Ski Area has announced it will reopen for the 2013-14 winter season.
“Next winter we look forward to bringing skiers and snowboarders a great on-mountain experience while also planning for June鈥檚 future, including the possibility of a new lift and enhanced snowmaking,” , June Mountain’s general manager.
The resort’s long-term strategic plan is set to be announced in early summer, likely with a focus on community and young families. June has operated at a loss since it was acquired by Mammoth in 1986 and closed in June 2012 following a brutally bare ski season.聽
