Forsberg took first in the women鈥檚 race with a time of , breaking Nancy Pease鈥檚 25-year-old record by 2:42. Jornet crossed the finish line in 41:48, taking first in the men鈥檚 race. He beat Eric Strabel鈥檚 2013 course record by 67 seconds.
Jornet has a reputation聽for clocking fast times as a mountain runner聽and has repeatedly run up peaks in a few hours that take well-prepared mountaineers days to reach. In 2010, he set the speed record for his round-trip聽climb of聽Mount Kilimanjaro in 7 hours and 14 minutes.
