Or would you write off the dream as illogical and stick to goals that don’t demand such a high price in sacrifice and turmoil? Dennis Williams Jon: Dear Dennis, If I could turn back the clock and do it over again, knowing what I know now, I wouldn’t go to Everest at all. The risks were far greater than I imagined, the physical demands were far greater than I imagined, and the pain and suffering were far greater than I imagined. I was way out of my league on Everest and should not have been up there in the first place. |
