The Siskiyou Divide is a ridge in the Siskiyou Mountains, spanning northwestern California and southwestern Oregon. It separates the watersheds of the Rogue River to the north and the Klamath River to the south. Known for its ecological diversity and geological features, the divide includes dense forests, unique rock formations, and habitats protected by the Cascade-Siskiyou National Monument. Trail highlights include the Mount Ashland Weather Station, fire lookouts and a covered bridge.

The Pacific Crest Trail (PCT) crosses the divide, offering scenic hiking opportunities, including routes through Siskiyou Gap, Mount Ashland, and Grouse Creek Gap. It is a key feature of the Pacific Northwest’s natural landscape.

Expect this trail to be mostly gravel and easy to traverse unless snow covered.
