The Eurostar train service, which connects railway travelers between major cities in northern and western Europe, announced on Thursday that it has expanded available connections to include destinations in the French and Swiss Alps, . Eurostar now offers a 4.5-hour direct train from London, England, to Lyon, France, transporting travelers close to聽the resorts at Alpe d鈥橦uez and Les Deux Alps. Additionally, passengers traveling to Geneva by way of Lille can now easily visit the Swiss Alps, with stops near the resorts in聽Morzine, les Gets, Avoriaz, Samo毛ns, and La Clusaz.
The new expanded train service will continue along with the existing service between London and the French Alps. During winter, two trains per week stop at Mo没tier, Aime La Plagne, and Bourg-Saint-Maurice, with access to nearby resorts, including Courchevel, Val d鈥橧sere, Val Thorens, Meribel, Les Arcs, Tignes, and La Plagne.聽
