In October, 28-year-old Katie Brown on-sighted聴to free-climb on the first try, without any prior knowledge of the route聴a VI 5.12 line up the 2,000-foot Northwest Face of Half Dome. On a slightly more relaxed day in Berkeley, photographer Chris McPherson caught up with her.
