The Court of Arbitration for Sport has again delayed an expected verdict in Alberto Contador’s doping from January 31 to February 6. The delay is the latest in in the case, which originated in 2010 and could have been resolved as early as last summer. Contador was scheduled to appear before the court in early 2011, before the Tour de France, but the hearing was moved first to August and then November. A ruling was expected in mid-January, but was delayed amid accusations that the CAS judges favored Contador’s lawyers. The court did not give a reason for the latest setback.
