The World Anti-doping Agency () and Tour de France champion Alberto Contador are still locked in a standoff after WADA investigated Cantador's claims that contaminated meat was responsible for a positive drug test in July, reports .

The agency investigated a butcher's shop in northern Spain to try and find evidence of Clenbuterol, a drug used to not only fatten up cattle but also promote weight loss and muscle-building in athletes. The drug is illegal to use on cattle and is also banned for athletic use by WADA. There were no traces of Clenbuterol found in the butcher's shop, according to a WADA report obtained by Spain's .

Contador's legal defense immediately rejected the report. He faces a two-year suspension if he is found guilty of doping.
