Now that the Stephen Frears鈥揹irected 聽is in post-production, UK-based shop Ultimate Cycles is selling more than 100 of the bikes used in the movie.
, the film features a variety of period and retro-style bikes, with about half of them now available for purchase . The bike shop specializes in retro, classic, and replica bikes.
鈥淭he stock list includes 30-plus Condor Classico and Italia RC bikes painted to look like everything from Merckx to Giant and MBK, 12 Pitangos, 20 Trek 5000 up to Madone, then Pinarello, De Rosa, MBK, Gazelle, Peugeot, Cannondale, Specialized, Fausto Coppi, Giant, Look, Eddy Merckx, Lohber, Lemond,鈥 Iain Ferguson of Ultimate Cycles told BikeRadar. 鈥淓ven mountain bikes from Armstrong鈥檚 early career. As you can see, it鈥檚 a bit of a treasure trove.鈥
The shop will ship bikes internationally, and customers can schedule appointments to view them. No release date has been announced yet for the film, which details Sunday Times journalist David Walsh鈥檚 pursuit of Armstrong, whom Walsh suspected of doping on his way to seven Tour de France titles.
