BC Hang Glider Pilot Charged in Death

A pilot involved in a in British Columbia’s Fraser Valley on Saturday has been charge with obstructing justice after his client fell 1,000 feet. William Orders, a certified glider pilot, was arrested shortly after 27-year-old Lenami Godinez dropped 1,000 feet to her death 30 seconds into a hired flight. Witnesses said it appeard that Godinez, who was seen clutching at the pilot’s feet before she fell, was never properly secured. Officials have confiscated the glider and have charged Orders with obstruction of justice for witholding what they would only say is “key evidence.” A police representative said more charges could be brought as the investigation continues.
