Temperatures in 2015 will likely be the highest ever recorded, according to released this morning by the United Nation鈥檚 World Meteorological Organization (WMO). The record heat was caused by a strong El Nino and human-induced climate change.听The report also states that the five-year span聽from 2011 to 2015 was the hottest ever, .听

Last week, the National Centers for Environmental Information released a report that found聽October to be聽the warmest month ever recorded,聽and also stated that the year was聽on track to be the hottest in history.听鈥淭his is all bad news for the planet,鈥 said WMO secretary-general Michael Jarraud in a statement, .

The new findings come one week before the climate change summit in Paris and are expected to play a part in discussions between global leaders.听
