Well, Marilyn, here is the deal. We have this thingy here called “editors,” who read what I propose to put in the interwebs. Sometimes the push it out straightaway. Other times, they edit. And sometimes, they send stuff back. Your question happens to be the latter.
In my first iteration of the answer, I chose to mock you a little, suggesting that for the altimeter-watch industry to make a women聮s model was like Chrysler marketing its Cummins Turbo-Diesel Dodge Ram pickups to ladies.
But despite my encyclopedic knowledge of the gear industry, I had missed that there actually are altimeter watches made specifically for women, shocking though that sounds. I can聮t believe it myself!
So here is the deal. What you need is most likely a Lumi ($359), which has altimeter/barometer/watch functions is designed for a woman the same way as a Volkswagen Tiguan聴sorta rugged, but not really THAT rugged. The edges are burred off a bit.
, meanwhile, has the oddly named Axio Mini ($125), another women聮s altimeter/outdoor watch. Altimeter, barometer, chronograph, and (puh-lease) more.
Damn editors.
