In February of 2011, a group of 16 friends took off to explore 22 slot canyons while rafting 280 miles of river in the Grand Canyon. They recorded their month-long canyoneering journey and turned it into a film, . The flick appears to be a solid testament to going deep into the heart of a place that most people will only gawk at from outside of their cars.
Rich Rudow and Todd Martin led the team into the chasm. Rudow is a general manager at Trimble Outdoors and has walked 5,000 miles in the Grand Canyon in the last 22 years and descended 134 slot canyons, including 60 or 70 first descents. Martin is the author of , the only book on canyoneering in Grand Canyon National Park. The film will play this weekend at the in Carbondale, Colorado, and in late May at .
