Think feeling crappy on a plane is inevitable? Time to re-evaluate. What you eat pre-flight could make a difference.

A Frequent Flier's Guide to Airport Eating

Fear of getting sick on a plane isn鈥檛 unfounded. In 2004, 听found that frequent fliers had a higher rate of catching colds than the general population.

That’s one reason to pay attention to the , released today. Organized by the , the research ranks the nation鈥檚 healthiest airports. But more useful than the list are the types of foods that make a smart, cold-fighting pre-flight meal.

First, the results: 23 of America鈥檚 30 busiest airports have restaurants that serve at least one healthy entree. The winner? Baltimore/Washington International Airport听where 92 percent of restaurants serve at least one dish that met the survey standards.

The losers? As a whole, most airports in the South鈥Dallas/Fort Worth (67 percent), Orlando (66 percent), Houston (65 percent) and ATL (52 percent) bottomed out the list. 鈥淭here were healthful options in the South, but they have so many steakhouses and BBQ joints that it brought the scores down,鈥 Dr. Susan Levin, director of Nutritional Education at PCRM, says.

Here鈥檚 where it gets interesting: a restaurant qualifies as “healthy” so long as it serves at least one high-fiber, cholesterol-free menu item including two of the following: fruit, vegetables, whole grains, or legumes. It鈥檚 easy to undermine the PCRM鈥檚 metric (just ask our Paleo readers), but that鈥檚 beside the point. Eating well when traveling will help you stay fresh for arrival, says Cameron Wells, a staff dietician at PCRM. And you aren鈥檛 as dependent on the airport鈥檚 food options as you think you are. It鈥檚 not where you order the food, but how you order that counts.

Flee from Fat

Even avowed carnivores should carefully consider ordering off the vegetarian menu (or choosing lean meat options) when flying. It鈥檚 not the protein that鈥檚 the problem. Because you’re just sitting there, blood circulation slows during a flight听and meals high in fat and cholesterol can stagnate it even more, leaving you fatigued. Plant-based foods high in fiber help increase blood flow, says Wells, who also notes that fruits and veggies also contain vitamins and minerals that can help stave off a cold. Just steer clear of stir-fried and saut茅ed veggies, which can be just as bad as fatty meats.听

Skip the Salt and Toppings

Because of the lower pressure in the cabin and few chances to move around and get your blood flowing, feet tend to swell during a flight. Salt will only exacerbate the issue, says Dr. Wells. And choose your toppings carefully. While Mexican food can make a great pre-flight meal, overloading on the cheese and sour cream will weigh you down, says Dr. Levin.

Make the Water Bottle Your Best Friend

Planes are extremely dry places and the loss of hydration can lead to headaches and fatigue, says Dr. Levin. Your solution? Drink 12 ounces of water for every half hour you鈥檙e on the plane. To hit that mark, you鈥檒l need to drink 15 cups of water from the typical four-ounce cups provided by the airlines. So bring a refillable water bottle, and, er, choose an aisle seat.

Rethink Fast Food

Most chains now offer healthy options, if you know how to order. Take McDonald’s. Their oatmeal bowls come with fruits and nuts and make for a great breakfast if you leave off the cream and brown sugar. And Starbucks now offers portable options that are actually filling, such as a brown rice, kale, and vegetables salads.听

You Should Be Pitching Camp on Your Car

Rooftop tents aren鈥檛 new. First designed in Italy, they鈥檝e been around since the 1950s and are popular for African safaris and expeditions to the Australian outback.听

But they are getting a high-tech revival in the U.S. as more people take up car camping. After all, why sleep on the ground when you can perch atop your car? The tents keep you safe, dry, and comfortable several feet above the dirt鈥攁way from lions, tigers, bears, and any other creepy-crawlies. (Just be careful when getting up to relieve yourself at night.)

Take Chad Kendrick, who founded after a run-in with an irate grizzly in Canada. “One night I’m awoken by a quiet shaking. A big ole grizz was rubbing up against the tent,鈥 he says. “I’ve ran into plenty of bears in my time but not in my tent, where you’re in the most vulnerable position you could possibly be in.鈥澨

Rooftop tents offer benefits even if you鈥檙e not camping in grizzly country. Treeline Outdoors makes models that come with built-in, high-density foam mattresses that stow inside the tent during travel. Plus, the tents set up quickly and offer great views thanks to oversize windows.听

鈥淲e鈥檙e making a conscious effort to bring (rooftop tents) to a lot of different activities, like mountain biking, weekend warriors, urban dwellers, rock climbers,” Kendrick says. “The first night someone spends in a rooftop tent and wakes up refreshed, after a super comfy sleep, they’re sold.”

Here are four of our favorite models:听

Treeline Outdoors The Tamarack Constellation ($2,232)

(Treeline Outdoors)

The features a lightweight aluminum honeycomb base that鈥檚 strong and insulating. To set up, snap the base, which is attached to the tent, onto either Thule or Yakima racks.

Not only is it easy to pitch, it’s also very durable. The Constellation is built from burly poly cotton fabric, and comes with a 420-denier ripstop polyester rainfly. “We didn’t have to spend any time making these tents ultra-light,” Kendrick says. “We used sturdy materials that would stand the test of time. They’re all water resistant, and have mold-, UV-, and fire-resistant coatings.” Bonus: Two drawstring skylights let you watch the stars from bed.听

Poler Outdoor Stuff Le Tente ($999)

(Benji Wagner/Poler)

“We put a man on the moon, and now we’ve put a tent on a van. God bless America!” boasts Poler Outdoor Stuff’s video promoting its .

Like most rooftop tents, the Le Tente is hefty, weighing a whopping 140 pounds. But you get a lot in that package. The Le Tente’s heavy-duty waterproof canvas and aluminum poles are easy to set up, and the ladder easily folds out to the ground. Like the Tamarack Constellation, the tent works with any car that has Thule or Yakima bars.

Tepui Tents Kukenam Ruggedized ($1,425)听

(Tepui Tents)

Tepui has a number of durable high-end rooftop tents, but the is the toughest of the lot. Designed for remote, rugged adventures, the tent sleeps three and is coated with waterproof-, UV-, and mold-resistant coatings. The internal frame is constructed with heavy-duty aluminum tubes, and the base is coated with diamond plates.听

It鈥檚 also pretty damn comfortable. The Kukenam Ruggedized’s foam mattress is a step above your average camping pad, and its removable cotton cover is easy to clean post-trip. Tepui recommends the tent for folks with 4×4 trailers who are planning off-road adventures. 听

AutoHomeUSA The Maggiolina Grand Tour (From $2,599)

(AutoHomeUSA)

Founded in 1958, AutoHomeUSA is one of the oldest rooftop tent manufacturers in the country, but that doesn’t mean its tents can’t compete with the new kids on the block.

The company’s is contained by a hardshell that latches onto your bars. When you’re ready to call it a day, just pop the lid to set up a cozy shelter. The Grand Tour has more headspace that AutoHomeUSA’s other models, plus you can stow your bedding and other gear in the case while traveling.听

Why Running Makes You Live Longer

Next time you’re lacing up your shoes for a long run, consider this: Those extra miles might be for naught.听

That might be an exaggeration鈥攐ne that ignores the mental aspects of running鈥攂ut it gets to the heart of the findings of a new study. published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology suggests that regular running reduces the risk of death (especially from heart disease) across the board鈥攔egardless of duration or speed.

In other words, don’t scorn your “lazy” friends who are satisfied with a mile or two; they enjoy many of the same running benefits as you. According to the research, led by Iowa State assistant professor of kinesiology Dr. D.C. (Duck-Chul) Lee, runners of all shapes and sizes had a 30 percent lower risk of death from all causes and a 45 percent lower risk of death from cardiovascular ailments. The researchers found that runners, on average, lived three years longer than nonrunners.听

“What we found was a little surprising,” Lee told me when I asked him what this means for the marathon-running crowd. “We found that runners who ran less than an hour a week showed similar mortality benefits to runners who ran three hours or more a week. We didn’t see increased benefits from increasing speed or duration.”

But Lee didn’t caution against distance running, although some of his data might have suggested that. Charts provided in the study show a very slight uptick in hazard rates for runners in the fifth quintile, indicating that, to a small degree, marathoners might not enjoy all the same mortality benefits as their shorter-distance peers.

“For this study, we didn’t want to say you should run to a certain point,” Lee said. “There could be some upper threshold鈥攁nd other studies suggest that鈥攂ut this higher ratio in the fifth quintile didn’t show a significant increase in mortality risk.”听

Promoting running of all distances was actually part of what drew Lee to perform the study.

“There is some research showing sudden cardiac death during races, so people could have been worried,” Lee said. “But running is the most convenient leisure-time physical activity. Everyone can do it, anytime, anyplace鈥攁nd without buying any expensive equipment or membership.”

So what accounts for the discrepancy between lower risk of all-cause mortality and cardiovascular mortality? The simple answer might get you on the trail and out of the weight room. “There’s strong evidence showing benefits of aerobic activity compared to, say, weight lifting,” Lee said. “It can improve heart and vascular function鈥攖hat could explain the bigger cardiovascular benefits of running.”听

Statisticians, we can hear you sharpening your quills and preparing arguments about reverse causality鈥攖he idea that healthy people may just run more and not the other way around. Lee says his methodology is as sound as it can be.

“The better study design is randomized control, where you recruit people, separate them into groups, and then measure something later on,” he said. “But that’s not always ethical. You can’t make some smoke for a year to measure what that does to the body, so for some topics we rely on an epidemiological observational study.”

Lee admits that the findings of an observational study don’t prove causality as strongly as other types of studies might, but his techniques seem similarly legitimate. Lee used a restrict analysis where he looked at associations between running and mortality in two different groups鈥攐ne with no major health issues and one reporting one chronic disease. Both groups showed similar benefits from running, regardless of prior health status.听

This all means that we could be entering a golden age of public health and running. According to the authors, promoting running could be as important as preventing smoking, obesity, or hypertension.

That’s something we at 国产吃瓜黑料 can certainly get behind. Might we suggest a race?

The Blissful Matrimony of Beer and Gear

ended last month, but the relationship between the outdoor industry and craft breweries is just getting started. In May, for example, Anchor Brewing Company announced that some of the proceeds from its California Lager will go to the National Parks Conservation Association and the California State Parks Foundation, for greater outdoor versatility.

But it鈥檚 the following four gear brands that have taken the beer-gear marriage to another level.

Patagonia

| (New Belgium Brewing)

Last November, clothing company Patagonia recruited New Belgium Brewing鈥攂est known for producing Fat Tire Amber Ale鈥攖o help it听produce a beer honoring 40 years in the business. Adhering to the California-based company’s famous commitment to organic products, California Route Organic Lager uses Cascade organic hops to produce a tawny-colored, medium-bodied brew with a malty character and earthy hops. The name, California Route, is a tribute to the famous route on Mount Fitz Roy, originally climbed by Patagonia founder Yvon Chouinard in 1968. Note: The beer is hard to find鈥攖ry Patagonia retail stores or around Fort Collins, where New Belgium is based鈥攂ut it’s worth the search.

KEEN

| (Widmer Brothers Brewing)

You’ve may already have tried the popular hefeweizen made by America’s ninth-largest brewer, Portland-based Widmer Brothers. In solidarity with the city’s bicycling community, Widmer joined the Bicycle Transportation Alliance to help provide safe bicycling routes in the area. And he decided to treat members of the organization to a developed specifically for the occasion. Teaming with KEEN Footwear, Widmer came up with the Full Fender Brown Ale, a light, malty English brown. Unfortunately, Widmer only distributed the small batch to business leaders who attended a March BTA meeting. We can only hope Rob Widmer’s love of cycling (he bikes to work every day) leads to larger-scale collaborations with the community in the future.

Carhartt

| (New Holland Brewing Company)

Carhartt, whose line of workwear is the fashion of choice for many hipster bros, called in its fellow Michiganders at New Holland Brewing Company to conceptualize and produce a beer from Michigan-made ingredients. The brew is slated for wide release this fall. “Carhartt is the epitome of craftsmanship,” New Holland’s president, Brett VanderKamp, . “The same dedication to hard work and creativity that we admire in farmers, chefs, artists, and other brewers is exactly what you’ll find at Carhartt. They reflect the same devotion to quality raw materials, artisan processes, and delivering remarkable results as we do.”

Woolrich, Inc.

| (Dogfish Head Craft Brewery)

Woolrich, Inc., a company that鈥檚 been producing outdoor apparel since 1830, in June to produce a limited batch of custom beer matched with a clothing collection. The beer鈥攄ubbed Pennsylvania Tuxedo鈥攚as brewed with spruce tips from, you guessed it, Woolrich, Pennsylvania. Named after the red and black wool outfits made famous by woodsmen in New England, the rye pale ale debuted as draft-only at, Dogfish鈥檚 music and beer fest, on June 13.

Then there鈥檚 the apparel and merch, including a classic chambray men鈥檚 button down, a throw blanket made from 100 percent wool, and beach hat and coozie. It鈥檚 all designed for a day in the sand, where you can sit back, relax, and crack open a cold one. Preferably from Dogfish.

鈥淒ogfish and Woolrich have very similar DNA鈥檚,鈥 says Dogfish Head president Sam Calagione. 鈥淲e鈥檙e both family-owned, east coast companies committed to our communities, obsessed with celebrating nature, and using the best natural ingredients we can get our hands on.鈥

Clean your glasses and prepare for听the perfect pour, because these shared values mean more collaborations between craft brewers and quality gear outlets are coming.

For those of us who just want to hit the slopes, finding ideal lodging can be a painstakingly annoying afterthought. Optimal pricing and amenities can make or break a ski trip鈥攈otels with the right mix of affordability, flexibility, and comfort aren’t easy to find and can easily tie you down. Fear no more: A successful Indiegogo campaign has got you covered.

Yesterday, a Belgian-based group raising money for what they call ““鈥攁 mobile hostel designed to shuttle lodgers to the best powder in Austria, Switzerland, and France鈥攃losed its Indiegogo effort after surpassing its goal of 20,000 euros in about six weeks. Spearheaded by two self-described nomads named Val and Tim, the fundraising drive raised 23,115 euros鈥攖hat’s more than $31,000 for our stateside readers鈥攚hich should be more than enough to bring the Nomads Bus to fruition.

The Nomads Bus will travel Europe in search of the best skiing destinations鈥攐ptions include Austria, France, and Switzerland (pictured).
The (squirrel_photography/Getty Images)

Where will the money go? For starters, Val and Tim plan to buy and ship a 40-foot school bus from Florida to Belgium. That’s right, the bus your kids dread getting onto in the morning could soon be shuttling thrill seekers to the best powder in Europe. From there, they plan to spend the summer renovating the bus with their friends, but in the greenest, most cost-effective way possible.

Still, the costs are expected to add up: 3,000 euros for a solar system, 4,000 for a wood stove, 1,000 for a compost toilet, and so on. It all comes back to the campaign’s goal: to create an awesome adventure experience that’s also not for profit, eco-friendly, carbon neutral, and sponsored by small indie brands.

Let's Be Nomads announced on June 2 that they had found their dream bus: this Thomas school bus in Tennessee.

Getting in on the fun shouldn’t be too tough if you’re willing to shell out a little cash. Donors who committed upwards of 350 euros to the Indiegogo page got first dibs but didn’t come close to filling all the slots. The Nomads Bus hosts five guests at a time and offers multiple packages, all currently discounted:

  • For 50 euros (currently 40) per night, you can purchase the “Super Flexible Package,” which allows you to choose as many nights as you want but forgoes many amenities.
  • For 399 euros (currently 349), you can purchase the “Short Stay Package,” which gets you four nights of the basics plus a three-day ski pass, daily organic breakfasts and dinners, and one transfer to another resort.
  • For 749 euros (currently 649), you can purchase the “All-In Week Package,” which nets you a seven-night trip with a six-day ski pass, organic breakfasts and dinners, pickup and dropoff at the Innsbruck train station or airport, sheets, towels, and private ski lessons.听

But there’s more! If cold weather isn’t your thing, the bus plans to continue operating in the summer, when it’ll cruise along the Atlantic coast as a mobile wave-chasing hostel for avid surfers.

Hey, Apple, We Love You, Too

As much as we love to spend our free time trekking through mountains or finding great road riding routes, us editors spend the lion’s share of our weeks sitting at desks, staring at screens just like everyone else. Our technology is important to us.

For that reason, we closely watched the livestream from Apple’s annual keynote Monday鈥攁nd realized our interest in Apple might not be one-way.

Apple kicked off the keynote with an announcement about its new OS X operating system, which the company named Yosemite. You’ll remember that Apple named its initial OS X releases after exotic cats, like Snow Leopard and Mountain Lion. Last year, it bucked that trend by naming OS 10.9鈥攚hich, if you’re like the majority of Mac users, you’re probably operating right now鈥擬avericks, after the famous California surf destination.

Fair enough. Apple employees presumably love to get outside like the rest of us, and it makes sense the company would gravitate toward the national park that’s practically in its backyard鈥攁nd maybe even read our recent national parks package. And, as it鈥檚 started to name its software after some of our favorite places, we’ve made big cats a priority, covering tigers in our June issue.

Okay, okay. All this cross-pollination could have been coincidental. Or at least, that’s what we thought until Apple’s CEO Tim Cook introduced the new operating system for iPhones and iPads鈥攊OS 8. What’s that we spied on the far right screen? 国产吃瓜黑料‘s logo and the header of our homepage.

We can’t be sure if Cook or Apple’s software guru Craig Federighi is reading 国产吃瓜黑料. It certainly seems like someone in that office is, though, and that the outdoors can allure even people who earn their keep with their eyes glued to screens. To demonstrate iOS’s social capacity, Federighi showed how he’d use the software to plan a camping trip to Yosemite with his friends鈥an activity we’re quite familiar with.

Of course, Apple also introduced some other features that really excite us, especially its new , designed to synthesize all your mobile health apps. We’ll have more on that once we get our hands on the software, but for now, we’re stoked one of the coolest tech companies around is showing its love for the outdoors.

So Apple, we love you too. , if you read 国产吃瓜黑料 as well, now’s the time to speak up.

Are Helmet Laws Sexist?

A 54-year-old Australian woman is making headlines after fighting a modest fine she incurred while riding her bike without a helmet. The reason? The woman, Sue Abbott, says compulsory helmet laws are sexist because they deter women from cycling.

“I firmly believe more people would ride bikes if helmets were optional,” said Abbott, according to Australian publication the听. “A lot of women have maintained hairstyles and would end up with helmet hair鈥攁nd women have told me that’s one of the factors” for why they don’t ride bikes.听

Abbott’s fine鈥攚hich she said is just one of a dozen that police have issued her for helmetless riding鈥攃ame during an international cycling conference held in the southern Australian city of Adelaide.听

Kevin Mayne, a delegate from the European Cyclists’ Federation (ECF), contextualized helmet laws for the Aussie cities.

“The width of the [Adelaide] streets provide great access for cyclists,” he said. “Most European cities don’t have this space to work with, but here you can find room for cyclists and pedestrian areas and make it a very livable city.”

Mayne, who focuses on development for the ECF, said governments around the world need to devote larger portions of their transportation budgets to making spaces more cyclist-friendly and getting cars off roads.听

Stateside, Abbott would be an anomaly. May was in America, and while conversations about cyclist rights are more prominent than ever, they focus more on safety鈥攚hich naturally includes helmet wearing. In fact, Boston University recently ran a bike-safety advertising campaign glorifying helmet hair in an effort to .

That being said, trends don’t entirely refute Abbott’s claims. A 2013 study about the psychology of bad hair found that an unruly mop can leave someone moody and depressed for more than an hour. That could be why some inventors are trying to reimagine the helmet from the ground up. Last November, a Swedish company announced an “invisible” helmet that’s actually a collar cyclists wear around their necks that in the event of a collision. Earlier this month, an English innovator introduced the , a 1.4-inch-thick helmet that can fold to the size of a textbook and easily fit in backpacks or laptop bags.

But these solutions might not be available for a while, and they could be expensive when they do鈥攖he collar is expected to retail for upwards of $500. Until these products hit the shelves or your bank account swells to afford them, try techniques to , spend the big bucks for an “,”听or just suck it up and deal with your messy hair. Apologies, Sue, but if given the choice between neat hair and a healthy cranium, we’ll choose an intact head every time.

No, the Grand Canyon Skywalk Isn't Going to Fall

Visitors to Chicago’s Willis Tower鈥攖he Western Hemisphere’s second-tallest building鈥 when the floor of a glass observation box protruding from the 103rd story appeared to crack.

If you’re like us, the incident might have left you wondering, “Could the same thing happen at the famed Grand Canyon Skywalk?” Well, yes, but that shouldn’t stop you from going out onto the glass.听

Here’s why. No one was hurt in the Willis Tower incident because the cracks appeared in the floor’s protective coating, not in the floor itself. In 2009, building operators changed the skyscraper’s name (to our everlasting consternation) from the Sears Tower and introduced these four glass Skydeck boxes, known collectively as The Ledge. Six million visitors have stepped onto The Ledge since then, often surrounded by large crowds.听

There was nothing unusual about Wednesday night. Tourist Alejandro Garibay and his four family members were standing on one of the ledges (which are designed to hold five tons), when they heard an ominous noise beneath their feet. The floor of the ledge appeared to be cracking.听

They stepped off鈥攁s most smart people would. But despite media hype to the contrary, . 听

“At no time whatsoever was the integrity of the structure compromised,” says Willis Tower spokesman Bill Utter. “Willis Tower Observation Decks Crack” may make for a sexy headline, but that’s not how the structure works. According to Utter, the surface’s non-glass protective coating occasionally cracks, which is what happened Wednesday. “The protective layer did exactly what it was supposed to do,” he said, emphasizing that visitors were never threatened.

At worst, the cracks showed that the deck’s floor鈥攎ade from three layers of half-inch thick glass鈥攚as under unusually high stress. But the threshold for cracks in the protective surface is far lower than that of the floor itself. Scary? Yes. Truly dangerous? Not really.听

So if you have reservations to visit the听, that other听glass-floored observation deck, don’t cancel them. Projecting 70 feet from the canyon’s rim and more than 3,500 feet above the Colorado River, the Skywalk is an engineering marvel designed to sustain the force of an . In other words, it’s really freaking strong.听

And even though the walkway could support 822 people weighing 200 pounds each, operators only allow 120 visitors on it at a time. So you’ll be fine if you step out onto the bridge’s 2.8-inch thick, five-layer glass floor.

But if you’ve still got some butterflies in your stomach and decide to skip the thrill, we won’t judge you. Just know that even if any cracks appear, you likely won’t go plummeting to the bottom of the canyon. 听

Sentenced to 22 years in prison, Patton will now wait nine months while the sentence is reviewed. The couple’s extravagant expat life鈥攁nd the sensational killing鈥攚as featured in 国产吃瓜黑料‘s June 2013 issue.

The trial, which began on Monday, May 19, was itself the outcome of an appellate court’s recent decision to overturn Patton’s initial January 2013 acquittal.

Patton stood accused of shooting Bender in the head on January 7, 2010, while he slept in the fourth-floor bedroom of the couple’s 120,000-square-foot living space. Patton and Bender had lived in Costa Rica since 1998, when Bender relocated there after making millions in options trading.

Patton always claimed that Bender’s death was a suicide, but prosecutors appealed the acquittal鈥攁n action not permitted in the United States鈥攄ue to multiple “inconsistencies.” Bender was found in a sleeping position and without gunpowder residue on his hands, suggesting he may not have fired the weapon. Patton didn’t have gunpowder on her hands after the incident either, however investigators did find gunpowder on napkins in the second floor of the couple’s house.

“Beyond the fact that there was no blood on the defendant, beyond the fact that the pistol was found in another place, beyond the tampering of the crime scene, the only reasonable explanation, considering the body’s position and the evidence found on the body, is that the bullet wound is homicide, because there was no way the victim could have done it,鈥 said Adolfo Calderon Bogantes, one of the judges on the three-member appellate panel.

Doubts about Patton’s guilt remain. Prosecutors still haven’t identified a motive for the killing, and after Bender’s death, Patton discovered that his fortune had been taken from her by the lawyers controlling his trust. Both Patton and Bender also suffered from multiyear bouts of depression and mania; Bender had injected Patton with home remedies to heal undefined ailments.

Stay tuned for developments, and revisit Ned Zeman’s feature from our June 2013 issue for more on this strange and deadly story.

16,000 Bees Removed from Manhattan Tree

Bees may be , but as usual, New York City appears to be the exception to the rule. Yesterday, residents of Manhattan’s Upper West Side had to call in the NYPD’s “beekeeper commissioner” to remove 16,000 bees from a neighborhood tree.

Residents called authorities after noticing the bees in a tree on West 72nd Street near Amsterdam Avenue, . The police deployed its only bee response officer, Anthony Planakis, to take care of the situation.

Planakis, a who colorfully tweets from , relocated the bees to the top of the Waldorf-Astoria. Nobody was stung.

Bee infestations aren’t uncommon in New York. Just last week, Planakis removed from a Brooklyn bus stop.

Bees are nothing compared to the insect fury recently unleashed upon a Portuguese town. Not to be outdone, mosquitoes in Vila Franca de Xira , swarming through the area and putting to shame.听

Now might be the time to invest in the bug spray industry.
