Question: I鈥檓 looking for a place in western Canada to spend a week this winter x-country skiing, maybe a smaller resort or remote lodge. Any ideas?

Silver Star Mountain Resort boasts 22 miles of nordic trails

Revered as British Columbia鈥檚 nordic skiing capital, this Euro-feeling resort is the training site of Canada鈥檚 national team. The mountain itself
boasts 22 miles of nordic trails, with another 30+ miles of cross-country skiing bliss in the nearby Sovereign Lake Provincial. For accommodations, try the fancy but comfortable Delta Silver Star Club Resort (800-610-0805). If that鈥檚 too posh, they might be able to recommend something a bit more low-key.
