Whistler-Blackcomb on a shoestring
Question: I am new to the Northwest and my passion is for skiing. I am particularly interested in short (three- to four-day) trips to Whistler-Blackcomb. Do you have any advice on reasonably priced lodging for a single person?

国产吃瓜黑料 Adviser: Your best bet for cheap sleeps is probably the Shoestring Lodge, about a mile and a half from Whistler Village and most of the lifts. Dorm-style bunks, with shared bath and kitchen, go for $23 (Cdn.) per person, per night. Splurge on a private room and bath at the Shoestring and it’ll cost you $95 per night. For
additional info on the ‘String, call them directly at 604-932-3338. Or, for other options, check in with Whistler Central Reservations (800-944-7853). They’ll be able to recommend pricier one-bedroom setups at local bed-and-breakfasts–expect to pay upwards of $100 (Cdn.) per night–and even pricier slopeside hotel rooms. If you opt for the Shoestring, pick up the free shuttle
to the mountain instead of driving your car around.
