A: If you’re serious about heading out to Moab this year, you’d better hurry because your window of opportunity for a spring trip is about to slam shut. Early March is the time to go, before throngs of spring breakers on fat tires descend on the Slickrock Trail. Avoid the first week in April at all costs. That’s when the Jeep Safari comes to Moab and everything in town will probably be booked solid and crawling with off-roaders. May is definitely do-able–the crowds have thinned and students are back in school–but by June, There are plenty of plush bed and breakfasts to choose from, and it’s an easy ride to most trails from bustling downtown Moab.
