The company operates out of Whistler and will customize a trip to fit your itinerary. They will fly you to a pristine alpine lake, provide you with float tubes, waders, and fishing gear, and top it off with a backwoods gourmet lunch. The trip generally takes 10 hours and costs anywhere from $350 to $500. For bike rentals, call Whistler Backroads (604-932-3111). The company, located in the gondola building in the center of Whistler, has the largest supply of high-end front- and dual-suspension bikes in the village. A basic front-suspension bike costs $8 per hour or $35 per day. If you’re a morning person, consider renting a bike at 6 p.m. before the shop closes and returning it at 9 a.m. the next morning when the shop opens. You’ll get at least seven hours of good riding for only $17.
