Choose from a two-day paddle/camping trip from the tiny fishing harbor of Stonington through a multitude of dome-shaped, granite islands to Acadia National Park’s Isle Au Haut, or one of several
two-day trips to some of Maine’s oldest lighthouses in and around Portland and Rockland. Trip prices range from $200 to $400 per person, depending on destination and including all meals, instruction, and group equipment (BYO sleeping bag and pad). From firsthand experience, I can recommend Coastal Kayaking Tours, a Bar Harbor guide service that runs multiday camping trips throughout the summer and early fall. By mid-September, when the winds pick up, they cut back their overnights to on-demand only, which means you’ll need to call ahead and have a minimum of four people. Otherwise, they’re still running half- and
