Utah-based Snow Lion Expeditions (801-355-6555) started in 1988 and offers a wide spectrum of trips, from Buddhist pilgrimages to overland adventures to bicycle touring to trekking. Myths and Mountains (800-670-6984) offers a
four-week “Three Stars Over Everest” trek that covers Everest Base Camp, Amadablam Base Camp, and the Khumbu region.
