On June 5, Valery Rozov made news when it was announced he had scored a world record for the highest wingsuit jump from a mountain on record. The 47-year-old extreme athlete had jumped from a height of 21,063 meters feet, off Shivling in the Indian Himalayas after a six-day ascent. Not long after, a BASE-jumping duo said not so fast. They pointed to in the Indian Himalayas, from more than 21,600 feet, as the gold standard recognized by the Guiness Book of World Records.

In the recently-released Rozov , there is no biggest, baddest, fastest, or highest claim. Rozov points only to the beauty of the region near Svaneti, Georgia, as his motivation for flying. He jumps from 14,000 feet, freefalls for 65 seconds and reaches a top speed of 125 mph, pulls his chute, and smiles after landing on a rocky hillside.
